Annabel is an artist based in Sydney and is the illustrator of four published picture books to date, including 'Saffy and the Sneaky Secret Summoning', 'Dear Santa, Love Floss', 'Rainbow Plate' and 'Princesses Wear Sneakers'.

 

'Rainbow Plate', written by Doctor Preeya Alexander featured as book of the month in OAC Childcare centres across Australia and is endorsed by The Obesity Policy Coalition. The book also featured on the Duchess Sarah Ferguson's Youtube Channel Storytime with Fergie and Friends, please see below for more details and links. 

 

She is currently working on another four children's picture book projects to be released in 2021. Find out more about Annabel's work here.

Her practice often begins with traditional mediums such as watercolour, gouache, and pencils to enrich her illustrations with texture, vibrancy and interest. She also indulges a passion for digital art in the Adobe Creative Suite applications to bring her hand-drawn illustrations to the next level.

Annabel is a resident of the Friends at Work Studio space within the Powerhouse Creative Industries Residency Program.
